G4 Challenge | Tribute

Celebrating 20 years of the Land Rover G4 CHALLENGE

After the Camel Trophy stopped in the late 90s, Land Rover came up with another global event in which driving the Land Rover took a smaller part along the more physical ingredients. Asking peoples what they remember about the G4 Challenge, most of them will answer ’the orange Land Rovers’!
The first Land Rover G4 Challenge took part in 2003 and the second in 2006. The third Challenge should take place in 2008, but unfortunately didn’t take place due to the financial crisis.
Now, 20 years after the first Challenge, it is time to celebrate this great event at our Land Rover Festival.

We want to tribute and celebrate the Land Rover G4 Challenge years among our LRCH 35th anniversary party.
We want to show a big amount of (original) G4 Challenge cars, if possible from all around the world. Whether you own a Discovery II or 3, a Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, a Defender of Freelander; you all are welcome to show up.

The idea is that among our Land Rover festival there will be a lectures about the good old days of the Challenge.

Therefore, the Dutch participant Thijs Maartense will take part and tell us about his experiences back in 2006 in the G4 Challenge. As some of you might know, he suffered a lot in stage 3 and missed a few challenges there.
We are also looking for some more participants and/or staff members to tell their story to the public. Are you in to share your story? Please contact us.

As we celebrate also 75 years of Land Rover, we will organize a concours / static show. Your G4 Challenge cars has to be a part of it.
We also offer a big space for your club, so please bring your Land Rover G4 Challenge fellows and pre register now!
